About Us
Adventure Bhutan has been in tourism business since 1999. We have a group of professionals who have been in the tourism industry for over 15 years.
Before the birth of Adventure Bhutan most of us worked as guides in different companies. We have some of the oldest guides in Bhutan. More than just a
profit making venture Adventure Bhutan is focused on creating opportunities for  the rural communities and  the Bhutanese youth in particular.

Like the rest of the world unemployment is becoming a serious issue in Bhutan too. With limited natural resources a small landlocked country like Bhutan has
very little option then to rely on its service sector. Today tourism is one of the highest employment generating industry in the  Kingdom.

As far as possible we try to employ maximum number of school drop outs as assistants and helpers on our treks and cultural tours. Our aim is to preserve our
culture and tradition and at the same time help our youth to be independent and have an identity of their own.

We promote age old traditions like the hot-stone bath and employ about 6 people in each district. We operated in 15 districts in the kingdom thus sharing
opportunities among communities.  As far as possible we try to make maximum use of the rural people.

We have eco-friendly management strategies and manage our treks in a very sustainable way. Our experienced staff are aware and do not disturb the flora
and fauna along the trails. What we enjoy today we urge everybody to leave it for our future generations.
Mr. Pema Wangchu  has  worked in the  tourism  Industry for over 15years. He has  a  Bachelors degree  in
humanities  and is  widely travelled.  He  has a through  knowledge of his country and has led  several
groups (both cultural and trekking) before settling down to a full time office work. Every day is a new
challenge for him and another goal towards perfection. With an experience of different countries and
knowledge of his own he has a better understanding of the needs of  our clients from  around  the  globe.
With  experience,  knowledge  and  qualification  he  has  information  at  his fingertips.  Some  of  our
clients  describe us the "fastest and most informative" when it comes to correspondence with our clients.
